The region of Apalache (with the imaginary lac Grande ), and the lands constituting Virginia and Florida are shown on the mainland. To the east Of the peninsula (here designated as Tegesta after Laet's 1630 map, #11), Lucaye and the major islands of the Greater Antilles beckon.

The map features a pastoral scene of the lands identified in the cartouche to be Chicora, located along the coast of present day South Carolina. Chicora, an Indian town, is shown on the map as being on the "R. Jordan" and was believed to possess gems.
